The board is charged with administering a licensing and regulatory program for the practice of forestry in order to benefit and protect the citizens of Alabama.

On September 13, 1957 at 8:22 PM, Governor Jim Folsom of the State of Alabama signed into law Act No.533 of the 1957 Alabama Legislature, authorizing the establishment of the Alabama Board of Registration for Foresters (ABRF). As we begin the fourth decade of service by the Board of Registration for the people of the State of Alabama, they are reasonably assured that those who are licensed and would practice forestry in the State of Alabama, have the knowledge, experience, and education.

It is vitally important that all Alabama citizens participate in the 2020 census to maintain congressional representation, improve roads and bridges, health care and so much more. Click here for more information.
